About Our Client

The art of saying no. plenty talk a good game but few practice it and even fewer live by it.Across the digital landscape many choose to offer the full 9 yards - after all everyone wants digital so the more services the better. Right?But what if everyone is doing a version of the same and what you end up with is no real USP and price being the deciding factor for clients?It's a well-trodden path and one that this business found themselves on before they started saying no.They realised their passion and expertise was in digital integration, namely designing and building complex websites, software, apps and mobile apps for a range of health, tech and b2b clients. Nothing else. It was why clients loved them and most importantly why folk chose to work there and stay there.So fast forward a few years of saying no and just doing what they love and they're ending 2022 in great shape, with a strong commercial function but what they're missing is someone to add to their senior team as a new Business Development Director.This is another new role with a growing team, so you'll be expected to roll your sleeves up and continue to build out the department. Over time this will include additional resource in marketing, lead generation and other support but initially these areas will all form part of your role.

Job Description

As their Business Development Director, you'll lead the charge in their quest for scale and bigger wins. They've moved into a different peer group which means the size and complexity of a typical project has changed too.

They're proudly based in the heart of Yorkshire, close to Leeds and are after someone who'll bring a track record of selling complex technical solutions within the digital space. You'll love the thrill of the chase but be ready for a role where you've real head-space to make your mark as the business grows.

This is all about the next phase of sales growth for the business. Their target markets sits around new clients requiring digital integration solutions.

Naturally, you'll be able to map markets and businesses and will have a sharp eye and ear to the ground when it comes to unlocking opportunity and spend.

It goes without saying that you'll thrive in front of c-suite clients and be respected for your knowledge and all-round pedigree in the market.

The Successful Applicant

To make a real success of this role you must understand and have a track record in selling technical digital solutions or services and ideally be well networked in either the public or private sector technology world.You could be treading the boards in a digital/technical/transformation consultancy or even bring expertise from selling digital solutions into from other parts of the industry.
